Dr. Hanaa Almoaibed is an academic researcher and
strategic sociocultural consultant. She collaborates
with governments, non-profit organizations, academia,
and the private sector to conduct and activate
research in the Arab Gulf States. Her work primarily
focuses on education, skills, and labor markets,
alongside addressing youth, gender, and sustainability
issues. Currently, she serves as a Research Fellow at the
King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in
Riyadh and holds the role of Consulting Fellow at
Chatham House in London. Additionally, she is a
Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of
Economics.
Hanaa holds the position of Vice President of Research
at the Arab Institute for Women’s Empowerment and
serves as the Education Pillar Chair at Johara Global, a
network connecting women's experiences in the
Middle East with those in Europe and North America.
Her extensive experience includes board-level roles in
the energy and education sectors; she serves as a nonexecutive
director of Rawabi Holding in AlKhobar and
United Safety Ltd. in Canada. Moreover, she is the Vice
Chairman of the International Advisory Board at the
ZADK Culinary Academy and holds a Council Member
position at the British Society for Middle Eastern
Studies.
Educationally, Hanaa holds a PhD from UCL and an
MSc from the London School of Economics and
Political Science.
